Jun Mochizuki, author of Pandora Hearts , returns with a vampire story. Vanitas no Carte is set in 19th century Europe, a time plagued by vampire apparitions and strange, supernatural deaths. In the midst of these conflicts, Noe appears, a vampire who, following the rumor of a legend, searches for a man who can save all vampires from a strange disease that causes them to go crazy and attack even his own kind.

In this way, Noé will have to discover the secrets behind the attacks on vampires and will have to put up with his new partner and his extravagant way of being. Their personalities will clash at times but that will not stop them from fulfilling their mission.

Like the author’s previous works, Vanitas no Carte has gothic, dark and steampunk elements, the latter genre being understood as stories set in the era where steam engines predominated, especially the Victorian period, with elements of science fiction. and fantasy in them. Therefore, in this manga you will find everything from the most common scenarios of a time to the most extravagant or situations outside of reality.

The main characters of Vanitas no Carte are Noé and Vanitas . The first is a vampire and the second is a human with the ability to use magic thanks to a book that allows him to purify vampires of a strange virus. The rest of the characters shown so far have ranged from vampires to humans. Vampires live in a world parallel to the human world, but because of the virus they have gotten out of control and have come to light. The manga began to be published in December 2010 and has only 10 chapters, being published in the Gangar Joker magazine monthly. The series is classified as a fantasy shounen.
